SPC vinyl flooring is not the only vinyl flooring acronym, so it helps to know what it means! SPC stands for Stone Plastic Composite or Stone Polymer Composite, depending on who you ask. Also, it’s sometimes referred to as rigid core luxury vinyl flooring.

The core of the flooring is comprised of around 60% calcium carbonate (limestone), polyvinyl chloride and plasticizers, or “stabilizers”. This creates an extremely durable core. An SPC vinyl floor is 100% waterproof like other vinyl floors, but with increased stability, dent resistance, and structural strength. This creates a luxury vinyl flooring with top quality features.
